How to make liquid dishwashing detergent
Formula to make 215kg batch:
10 kg LABSA ( sulfonic acid 96%)
15 kg SLES ( Sodium lauryl ether sulfate)
3kg CDEA (Cocamidopropylamine) or comperlan
1.25kg sodium hydroxide pearls
4kg home salt
1kg glycerin
100 gram lemon fragrance
Sufficient amount of yellow dye
250 gram preservative (you can ask suppliers) such as NIPAGIN.
180 kg distilled water
Mixing process:
Phase(A):
Measure all chemicals separately.
Prepare 250L plastic container
Add 160Liter water, SLES and 2kg of salt. Dissolve all of them completely.
Add LABSA and mix all ingredients completely
Add CDEA and mix it until dissolved.
Phase (B):
Prepare 10 Liter drum or container.
Dissolve amount of sodium hydroxide in 5 Liter water in 10L container
Start to add slowly small amount of solution from phase B to Phase A and measure PH using litmus paper. Continue adding lye solution from phase B to A until you get 7 - 7.5 PH.
Add glycerin.
Dissolve dye in small amount of water and add all of them to Phase(A).
Add reaming amount of salt to phase A and mix good until you get required liquid thickness.
Add fragrance and preservative and remain quantity of water.
Mix all ingredients well. Keep final liquid to set 24hr and fill.
Problems:
If the PH increase more than 7.5, use small amount of citric acid to reduce it.
If the liquid thickness is not good increase 1kg salt.
